Meditation

his section is about meditation in general. Meditation is a mind and body practice that has a long history of use for increasing calmness and physical relaxation, improving psychological balance, coping with illness, and enhancing overall health and well-being. I think this section can be very helpful because it helps you for mind and physical health.

Meditation is considered a type of complementary mind-body medicine.  Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a calm mind.  During meditation, focus your attention and eliminate confusing thoughts that may be in your mind causing stress.

The most popular types of meditation are:

* Mindfulness Meditation: it is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body.

* Spiritual Meditation: it is used in Eastern religions, such as Hinduism and Taoism, and in the Christian faith.  It is similar to prayer in which you reflect on the silence around you. 

* Focused Meditation: it involves focusing on something intensely as a way to stay in the present moment.

* Movement Meditation: it is any type of meditation in which we are moving, it is ideal when we feel energetic. 

* Mantra Meditation: A mantra is a word that refers to sounds that, according to some beliefs, have some psychological or spiritual power.

* Transcendental Meditation: it is a technique to let go of anxiety and promote harmony and self-realization through meditation

* Loving-kindness Meditation: it is a great way to cultivate our propensity for kindness.It involves mentally sending goodwill, kindness, and warmth towards others by silently repeating a series of mantras.

I think in conclusion it is good to practice meditation, because it helps to rest and relax our mind, lowers blood pressure, improves memory, emotional stability, etc.
