If one day you start to see that you are forgetting things, like for example that you already forget what you eat yesterday; or you start to see that it’s hard for you to learn something that’s probably because you haven’t done brain gym in a while ago, but do you know what brain gym is?

Brain Gym is a set of coordinated and combined activities and exercises that allow the connection of the body with the brain by the two hemispheres, it allows through movements and breathing, to connect with emotions,also it help us to stimulate and develop brain capacities.

Why is it important? 

It is super important for us, as teens and students because it help us to improve our memory capacities, mental health, creativity, accelerate learning, concentration, improve motor and academic skills, improve visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile average capacity, improve coordination, stimulate reading comprehension and relax the muscles of the body. 

It’s awesome how much brain gym help us, isn’t it? 

We should make the brain gym as something common that we should practice in our daily life,  just for the simple reason that it’s something that helps our wellness and health as you could see.

You might be bored right know, maybe you have been on your phone all day, or perhaps you just enter to this section of the webpage because you want to discover this amazing world of reading and books. 

Some teens think that reading is just so boring, and I actually used to think that too, I thought books were just words on sheets, but when I really started to read a book I was fascinated with it. 

Books are fantastic, no matter what literary genre they have they’ll always make you develop your imagination, they mostly always teach you something; have more culture, learn something new about a particular topic or through what happens in history, give you a lesson. 

Reading a book, as you can see, is a pleasure. Reading is an art that is felt, lived and, sometimes, suffered; a book makes you feel lots of emotions by just reading it; they can cause you fear, happiness, anger, sadness, disappointment, confusion, restlessness, satisfaction, betrayal, intrigue, among many others.

You may be worndering how books can help you with you wellness and heath; a book allows us to easily stimulate our imagination and brain function, helps us to obtain better vocabulary, increases concentration, reduces stress, improves memory, among many other things.

Now you see the importance of reading?

And the best part is that you can choose the book you prefer of your favorite literature genre.

Good Rest

Getting good quality sleep can help you feel like your best self. Healthy sleep patterns improve learning, memory, creativity, and mood. Healthy sleep also strengthens the immune system and makes it easier to maintain a healthy diet.

In contrast, if you aren’t getting healthy sleep, you might feel slow, foggy, depressed, and low-energy. Sometimes, it is obvious when you are not sleeping well. In other cases, poor sleep and its adverse effects accumulate gradually, so it’s possible to become accustomed to them without recognizing the impact they are having on your health and life.

Here are some daytime indicator that helps you to know if you have a good rest :

  • Waking up feeling refreshed in the morning
  • Having lots of energy during the day
  • Being in a good mood
  • Feeling clear-headed

And in here we have some symptoms that you will have if you aren’t sleeping fine 

,

  • Having trouble getting up in the morning
  • Struggling to focus
  • Irritability, depression, or anxiety
  • Feeling sleepy during the day or needing to schedule daytime naps
  • Sleeping much longer or later on unstructured days

Balanced nutrition

Some teenagers think that having a balanced  nutrition is stop eating and that is incorrect because balanced nutrition  is something that contains different kinds of foods in certain quantities and proportions so that the requirement for calories, proteins, minerals, vitamins and alternative nutrients is adequate and a small provision is reserved for your body to stay healthy . 

A balanced nutrition gives your body the nutrients it needs to function correctly. To get the nutrition you need, most of your daily calories should come from:

  • fresh fruits
  • fresh vegetables
  • whole grains
  • legumes
  • nuts
  • lean proteins

Here are some tips about how to have a balanced nutrition 

  • eat at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day (see 5 A Day)
  • base meals on higher fibre starchy foods like potatoes, bread, rice or pasta
  • have some dairy or dairy alternatives (such as soya drinks)
  • eat some beans, pulses, fish, eggs, meat and other protein
  • choose unsaturated oils and spreads, and eat them in small amounts
  • drink plenty of fluids (at least 6 to 8 glasses a day)

Exercise

Exercise is an activity that maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness.It can be performed for various reasons for example : improve strength, developing muscles and the cardiovascular system, , weight loss or  improving health and also for enjoyment. Many individuals choose to exercise outdoors where they can exercise in gyms.

Exercise is important for maintaining physical fitness and can contribute to maintaining a healthy weight, regulating the digestive system, building and maintaining healthy bone density, muscle strength, and joint mobility, promoting physiological well-being, reducing surgical risks, and strengthening the immune system.

Some excessive exercise occurs when a person exceeds their body’s ability to recover from exercise.

Exercise is important for maintaining physical fitness and can contribute to maintaining a healthy weight, regulating the digestive system, building and maintaining healthy bone density, muscle strength, and joint mobility, promoting physiological well-being, reducing surgical risks, and strengthening the immune system. Some studies indicate that exercise may increase life expectancy and the overall quality of life. who participate in moderate to high levels of physical exercise have a lower mortality rate compared to individuals who by comparison are not physically active.

Fitness is a group of exercises that can help you have a healthy body and for you to have a good fiscal condition.

Fitness can be achieved by having this three aspects:

  • Balanced nutrition 
  • Physical exercises 
  • And good rest    

Several videos will appear showing cardiovascular exercise routines to do outdoors or at home. I focus because it is a cardiovascular sport that helps us stay healthy and prevent diseases. People must first know if there is no problem with exercising. Find the right exercise for each person and to find what they are looking for. 

Fitness is a process that helps us stay in good physical condition.And it is a good way for people to not get stressed and to be much more healthier physically.

Individuals can increase fitness by increasing physical activity levels. Increases in muscle size from resistance training are primarily determined by diet and testosterone.This genetic variation in improvement from training is one of the key physiological differences between elite athletes and the larger population. Studies have shown that exercising in middle age leads to better physical ability later in life.

Early motor skills and development is also related to physical activity and performance later in life. * Spiritual Meditation: it is used in Eastern religions, such as Hinduism and Taoism, and in the Christian faith.  It is similar to prayer in which you reflect on the silence around you. 

* Focused Meditation: it involves focusing on something intensely as a way to stay in the present moment.

* Movement Meditation: it is any type of meditation in which we are moving, it is ideal when we feel energetic. 

* Mantra Meditation: A mantra is a word that refers to sounds that, according to some beliefs, have some psychological or spiritual power.

* Transcendental Meditation: it is a technique to let go of anxiety and promote harmony and self-realization through meditation

* Loving-kindness Meditation: it is a great way to cultivate our propensity for kindness.It involves mentally sending goodwill, kindness, and warmth towards others by silently repeating a series of mantras.
